05 / PUT IT TO WORK

Make the brand easy to use well.

Give your team the files, examples and guidance needed to produce consistent work after launch.

Discuss guidelines & launch assets

Start with the things your team makes.

Proposals, presentations, email signatures, invoices and social posts each create a small decision about the brand. Show us the pieces produced most often and the people who use them. The best starting point is a set of templates that fits those routines.

We can work from an approved identity or include the guideline work in a larger project. When the source artwork is incomplete, we identify the missing material before promising a handover.

Write guidance that answers everyday questions.

Your team needs to know which logo belongs on a dark background, how much space to leave around it and which colour pairs are suitable for readable text. Type styles and a few layout examples make those decisions easier to repeat.

We scope the depth of the guide to the business. A small team may need a concise reference and several useful examples. A business working with multiple suppliers may need more detailed specifications and a clear approval procedure.

Prepare the right formats.

A presentation master, a social graphic and a print-ready document have different production requirements. We confirm the tools you use and the suppliers who will receive the files. Editable templates need to be practical for the people responsible for maintaining them.

Licensed fonts and images may require additional rights for a client or external supplier. These responsibilities are documented before the assets are distributed. Printing, specialist artwork production and third-party licences are included only when agreed.

Make the launch manageable.

We create an asset list and a rollout checklist covering the agreed channels. Assign one person to maintain the master files, keep approved versions in a known location and retire old exports when the new set is ready.

The handover explains what was delivered and how to use it. Training or ongoing design support can be scoped separately. Your business should finish the project knowing where the identity lives and who will look after it.

BEFORE WE START

A few useful
answers.

Can guidelines be created for an existing logo?

Yes. We first review the source files and how the identity is currently used, then agree the missing guidance and assets.

Can our staff edit the templates?

The formats and software are agreed in the scope. We build the named templates for the tools your team will use.

Do you print the materials?

Printing and specialist production are quoted separately when requested. Design deliverables alone do not include production quantities.

Bring the question.

Tell us what the business needs. We will work through the next step with you.
